NUTRIBOOST CPNS
Efficient biogas production depends on a healthy and active microbial community inside the anaerobic digester. However, fluctuations in organic loading, nutrient deficiencies, pH imbalance, and changing feedstock characteristics can create microbial stress, leading to unstable digestion and reduced methane generation.
These challenges often result in lower gas production, reduced organic degradation, process instability, and longer recovery periods after process upsets.
NUTRIBOOST CPNS is a specialized micronutrient and biochemical formulation developed to support anaerobic microorganisms by providing the essential nutrients required for their growth and metabolic activity. By maintaining a healthy microbial population, it helps improve digester stability, supports consistent methane production, and enhances overall process efficiency.
- Supports healthy growth and activity of anaerobic microorganisms
- Improves digestion efficiency and organic matter degradation
- Enhances consistency of biogas and methane production
- Helps stabilize digester performance during variable loading conditions
- Supports faster microbial establishment during digester start-up
- Contributes to improved process stability and reliable operation
NUTRIBOOST CPNS is suitable for anaerobic digesters treating a wide range of organic feedstocks, including:
Agricultural & Biomass Feedstocks
- Press Mud
- Napier Grass
- Paddy Straw
- Other agricultural residues

A press-mud-based CBG plant was looking to improve the digestion efficiency of press mud and enhance CBG production from its anaerobic digestion process. To address this challenge, The Catalysts Group conducted a commercial trial of NutriBoost CPNS at PS Green CBG Plant in Uttar Pradesh. The trial demonstrated a significant improvement in press mud digestion and CBG yield following NutriBoost CPNS application. CBG yield increased from 30.80 kg/ton of press mud to 47.83 kg/ton, representing a 55.3% improvement. Digestion efficiency also increased from approximately 51% to 81%.
FAQ's
Anaerobic digesters treating high-organic wastes can experience microbial stress due to variable
loading, acidity and nutrient limitations. These conditions reduce microbial activity and methane
generation, affecting overall digester performance. NUTRIBOOST CPNS supplies essential
micronutrients and biochemical components required for the growth and stabilisation of anaerobic
bacteria, helping maintain consistent biogas production under varying operating conditions.
Yes. NUTRIBOOST CPNS supports microbial population build-up during digester start-up and
provides the micronutrients needed to maintain an active anaerobic biomass during routine operation,
helping sustain biological performance over time.
NUTRIBOOST CPNS is suitable for anaerobic digesters processing agro-industrial residues such as press mud, Napier grass and paddy straw, as well as high-COD industrial wastewaters including distillery spent wash, paper mill wastewater and food processing effluents.
Plants experiencing inconsistent methane production, microbial stress, poor organic removal, pH
instability or changing feedstock loading conditions may benefit from evaluating NUTRIBOOST
CPNS to strengthen biological performance and improve process consistency
